Swing, style and American hospitalitySmith & Wollensky, the newly opened restaurant and event space at the Adelphi Building, has launched a series of Christmas packages that will bring together the very best music, food and traditional American style hospitality to the London festive season. The ‘Good Time’ packages include all manner of live entertainment from big swing bands to tribute acts together with Christmas cocktails, and the venue’s world famous steak menu.
Labelled ‘one of New York City’s greatest exports’ the venue will be showing event planners an American twist on the traditional Christmas as well as reflecting the history, heritage and vibrancy of its new West End location. The event space is available for exclusive buy out to businesses looking to celebrate 2016 in luxury and style.
As part of the packages, Smith & Wollensky has access to authentic swing bands, celebrity DJs and stellar tribute acts like ‘Suspiciously Elvis’. The venue provides the perfect backdrop to the performances, combining authentic art deco surroundings with a contemporary 12ft digital stage that can bring the party to life and create a visually spectacular environment for the acts.
Supporting the entertainment will be the venue’s signature quality food and drink, inspired by festive favourites from both sides of the Atlantic. The Smith & Wollensky wine list is extensive and intelligently sourced, while cocktails are created to suit the desires of the event organiser and their guests. Meanwhile the venue will continue to supply its now famous dry-aged USDA Prime steaks from the America’s Midwest and seafood from the UK’s coastal waters, to give every guest a celebratory indulgent experience.
“Christmas in the West End is really special and Smith & Wollensky is set up for celebratory ‘good time’ events and parties,” comments Nathan Evans, Operations Director, Smith & Wollensky. “We’re happy to give the venue over to whatever the organiser wants, but we’re also on hand to source stylish period bands – in keeping with the art deco architecture, contemporary DJs, and every other kind of entertainment needed. What guests won’t need to travel far for though is great food, amazing cocktails, a unique wine list and warm, welcoming American style hospitality.”
