The Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow and the George Hotel in Edinburgh, both part of the award winning PH Hotels group, were the big winners at the 10th annual Scottish Hotel Awards on Sunday 28th April 2013. Both hotels scooped numerous accolades on the night with Grand Central picking up the most coveted award - Scottish Hotel of the Year.

Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, Mallorca
Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, has announced that the Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa in Mallorca was presented last night with the Conde Nast Traveller Magazine award for the ‘Best non-city hotel in Spain’. This accolade follows the hotel’s success as a finalist in Germany’s Gala Magazine Spa Awards which were recently held in Baden Baden. The five star hotel, opened in Apri l 2012, is the first European resort for Jumeirah Group, and offers a new standard of luxury on the island of Mallorca.

PATA UK Chapter wins ‘Spirit of PATA’ award

The PATA UK Chapter has announced that it has won the 2012 ‘Spirit of PATA’ award. Each year, special awards are presented by PATA to recognise outstanding achievements by PATA Chapters. PATA UK Chapter Chairman, Chris Lee, presented the chapter’s achievements at the PATA Chapters Colloquium on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.
