Three is the magic number for Suites Hotel & Spa at this year’s Merseyside Independent Business Awards

Suites Hotel & Spa is celebrating a trio of accolades as it was named ‘Best Place to Stay’, ‘Employer of the Year’ and was crowned as the highly-esteemed ‘Business of the Year’ at this year’s Merseyside Independent Business Awards.

The luxury Knowsley hotel beat off tough competition from some of the region’s most notable firms following a record number of entries to scoop up the awards and be placed in the top spot by this year’s judging panel.

The MIB Awards 2018, now in its sixth year, took place at a glittering ceremony in Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel in a celebration of the region’s business talent.

Managing Director of Suites Hotel & Spa Lyndsay Stanistreet-Tyer said: “We were incredibly excited and honoured to have been recognised in such a way by the panel of incredible judges at this year’s MIB Awards. To be shortlisted alongside some of the region’s best independent businesses was a huge privilege but to walk away with three awards – and as the overall winner – is a real achievement for the entire team at Suites Hotel & Spa to acknowledge their hard work a dedication over the years. Receiving the award for overall ‘Independent Business of the Year’ was a wonderful way to end the evening and our recent period of business growth.

“The last 12 months have seen us invest heavily into the business to ensure that our offering is of an exceptionally high standard whether guests are joining us for a business conference or a leisurely spa break. In line with this, we have continued to support our growing team and are thrilled to have welcomed new appointments and promotions within the company. The ‘Employer of the Year’ award was such a wonderful award to receive especially for my father, Peter Tyer Chairman of Suites Hotel & Spa, who has employed many people from Knowsley for over 35 years- this means the world to our family.”

Suites Hotel & Spa has enjoyed a successful year following a £1.2 million renovation that has seen the upgrade and refurbishment of 76 rooms alongside the launch of its new website. More recently, the hotel has announced the appointment of its new Head Chef and Restaurant Manager to reinvent its culinary division.

Lyndsay added: “Every year we anticipate these prestigious awards and we would like to say a huge thank you to the organisers, Morecrofts Solicitors, and to the panel of MIB judges who recognised the hard-work and dedication that goes in to Suites Hotel & Spa. Achievements such as this only drives us further and we will continue make leaps and bounds within the industry and fly the flag for the amazing region of Merseyside.”

Alison Lobb, Managing Partner of Morecrofts Solicitors said: “Suites Hotel & Spa is arguably one of Merseyside’s best kept secrets but its quality and continued success has been reflected in such a large haul of awards this year.

“The MIB Awards exists to shine a light into every corner of the independent business community and this year certainly hit the mark, with record numbers of entries from across Merseyside.

“It was another incredible spent night celebrating some of the brightest independent businesses this region has to offer and my huge congratulations go to every nominee and winner.”
