Outstanding venues honoured at London Venue Awards

Claire Wormsley and Rory Ross Russell, Co-Directors of GCN, opening the London Venue Awards 2016
Venues from across the capital were honoured at the second London Venue Awards on Friday October 14th, with over 370 industry professionals attending the celebratory lunch held at the Emirates Stadium.
Awards were presented in 19 categories following a rigorous judging process carried out by a panel of over 30 expert representatives from a variety of venues and end users within the meetings and events sector.

The Brewery was the only venue to win in two separate categories, securing the top award for both the Best Awards Venue and Best Christmas Corporate Party Venue categories.

The London Venue Awards are organised by the Global Conference Network (GCN), who also run a number of industry-leading awards programmes such as the Conference Awards and Association Excellence Awards. Claire Wormsley, Co-Director of the GCN, comments:

“The calibre of entries has been very high and the competition has certainly hotted up in this our second year of the awards. The London Venue Awards has grown substantially already and we are delighted with the response from entrants.

“We would like to extend our congratulations to all the winners, marks of excellence recipients and finalists and of course commiserations to those that didn’t quite make it this year. The quality of venues on offer throughout London is clearly of a very high standard and it’s wonderful to see how venues are making strides in their facilities, services and overall offerings to compete to be the best. Well done to all, we look forward to seeing what venue gems next year’s awards unearths!”
