HAE EHA shortlisted for Trade Association Forum’s ‘Best Practice Awards 2016’

Hire Association Europe (HAE) and Event Hire Association (EHA) has announced that they are finalists in the prestigious Trade Association Forum’s (TAF) ‘Best Practice Awards 2016’. HAE EHA has been shortlisted in the ‘Conference of the Year’ category, for the successful delivery of their Hire Convention in September 2015.

TAF’s Best Practice Awards are now in their fourteenth year and were developed to recognise, reward and promote best practice amongst Trade Associations in the UK. The award ceremony and gala dinner is eagerly anticipated and will be held at 8 Northumberland Avenue in central London on 6th July.

This is the second nomination for the Hire Convention 2015 with HAE EHA already securing a finalist position at the Association Excellence Awards 2016, where they were shortlisted in the ‘Best Development of an Existing Association Event – under 300 delegates’ category.

With the theme ‘Navigating Your Future’ prevalent throughout, the Hire Convention received positive feedback from delegates, exhibitors and speakers alike with numerous highlights during the two-day event held at Loughborough’s Holywell Park. Most notable were an opening address from Jo Bamford, JCB’s managing director of global accounts; a motivational talk from TV celebrity and DIY expert Craig Phillips as part of the Future Hirers’ initiative; private meetings held by HAE EHA members and supporters; Hire Station, Hewdens, Brandon Hire and the Access Industry Forum; an outdoor demonstration area; various opportunities to network and several well attended keynote sessions.

Graham Arundell, HAE EHA’s managing director said: “To receive recognition for our Hire Convention from two individual and highly respected organisations is definitely testament to the hard working team here at the HAE EHA. We’re extremely proud of what we achieved last year and plans for the 2016 conference are well underway. Stand bookings are going very well, with a number of our key exhibitors already confirmed and we have a renewed focus on networking and content throughout.”
