AutoRAI 2015 wins gold at the European Best Event Awards

AutoRAI 2015 (Amsterdam Motor Show) took home the first prize at the 10th edition of the European Best Event Awards (EuBea) for the design and execution in the tradeshow category in Seville. The EuBea Jury was impressed with an out-of-the-box solution for a car show, which combined cost-efficiency with brand consistency, delivering an innovative and inspiring setting with clearly specified results.

AutoRAI 2015 (Amsterdam Motor Show) was organized by RAI Amsterdam under the patronage of RAI Association. RAI Amsterdam, RAI Association and design and project management specialist, kubik developed a completely new concept for the 2015 exhibition edition. This new show profile was based on the desire to offer the participating car brands a level playing field, where all exhibitors enjoy the same facilities and promotion possibilities for their car displays.  

A tailor-made design based on the corporate identity and visual branding of the exhibitors was offered to each car manufacturer. The custom designs guaranteed maximum exposure while simultaneously ensuring cost-effective participation.  

One of the main objectives set by RAI Amsterdam and kubik was to offer an attractive floor plan. Moving the traditional grand, dark walls from the car exhibit space to the main aisles created a modern ‘gallery’ setting that functioned as a red-carpet route through the eleven major exhibition halls of the RAI venue.  

Over 500 cars were on display of which 90 cars representing 49 brands saw their show debut. The 2015 edition of the AutoRAI hosted over 100 exhibitors excluding 10 separate indoor and outdoor side events that complemented the exhibition.  

More than 290,000 visitors experienced the event, which, compared to the previous edition, amounted to an 8% increase. Visitors awarded the show a 7.5 on a 10 point scale, exceeding the average rating for consumer shows by .5 points. The car brands rated the show an 8 out of 10, showing an improvement from a 7.1 rating at the previous edition. Post-show research indicated that 95% of the exhibitors achieved their goals.
