AlliedPRA, Inc., a leader in the meetings and events industry, announces Annette Gregg, CMP, CMM, MBA has been named Planner of the Year by the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) San Diego Chapter at the recent Annual Gala at the Estancia La Jolla Resort and Spa in San Diego.

Gregg received the award based on her Senior Meeting Planners programming for the chapter; her position as program advisor for the San Diego State meeting and event credential program, and her role is elevating women in the meetings and events industry.

The event draws planners and suppliers from all over the region to come together and celebrate the chapter’s accomplishments. In addition, Gregg was named among the industry thought leaders for the ChangeMakers list by MeetingsNet magazine. The 2016 Changemakers list is an amazing collection of individuals who are stepping up and thinking strategically to move the meetings industry forward.

MPI is the largest and most vibrant global meeting and event industry association. MPI membership is comprised of approximately 18,500 members belonging to more than 80 chapters and clubs in 22 countries.  

Gregg has held several sales, marketing and operations positions in the hospitality and events industries, including management positions with convention and visitors bureaus in both Northern and Southern California, event management firms and a convention center. In addition, she passionately teaches at the university level and regularly presents keynote sessions and seminars globally on a wide-range of topics, from diversity programming to contract negotiations to personal development. Gregg serves Meeting Professionals International as a member of its Board of Directors.
