An award winning night for Celebrity Cruises

Cruise line recognised for its food and as one of the world’s leading travel experiences

Celebrity Cruises is celebrating achievements at two prestigious awards events on 1st September. The cruise line took home the coveted ‘Ocean Cruise Line of the Year’ award at the 2014 Food and Travel Reader Awards held at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in London, coupled with being listed as one of the Top 100 travel experiences for 2014 by the readers of luxury magazine Condé Nast Traveller.

The award puts Celebrity Cruises in the same category as some of the world’s finest hotels, villas, islands and spas including North Island in the Seychelles and The Savoy Hotel in London. Plus, also at the Condé Nast Traveller Reader Awards, Celebrity Cruises achieved runners-up status in the ‘Favourite Large Ship Cruise Line’ category.

Toby Shaw director of marketing and PR, Celebrity Cruises, UK and Ireland said:   “Winning awards and being recognised for excellence is always something to be very proud of. We are exceptionally pleased to be nominated by both the readers of Food and Travel magazine and Condé Nast Traveller as they are the people who travel the world and really know a truly exceptional experience. We have evolved and developed not only our food and drink options over recent years, but also invested significantly in new experiences for our guests covering everything from spas to suites. A massive thank you to the readers of Food and Travel magazine and Condé Nast Traveller for their votes and appreciation.”

The UK award wins swiftly follow Celebrity Cruises’ global recognition in the Wine Spectator 2014 Restaurant Wine List Awards. Ten of 12 prestigious honours in the cruise category were awarded to Celebrity Cruises for its impressive wine lists that are featured on-board each of its 11 ships.

Sailing to hundreds of destinations across the globe, Celebrity Cruises offers guests a complete holiday experience. Celebrity Cruises ships feature cutting edge design with art and photography collections, first-class dining experiences and outstanding service.
