Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises celebrates hat-trick of wins at ACE Cruise Excellence Awards

Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises are celebrating winning three out of seven awards at the ACE Cruise Excellence Awards.  Celebrity Cruises’ sales team took the award for the ‘Cruise Line Sales Team of the Year’ and team member, major account manager Ruth Gardiner received an additional accolade as ‘Cruise Line Sales Person of the Year’.

The Awards event was rounded-off with associate vice president and general manager for Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises, Jo Rzymowska, taking the top gong of the night for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the UK Cruise Industry.’

The ‘Cruise Line Sales Team of the Year’ and ‘Cruise Line Sales Person of the Year’ awards were nominated by the agent members of the Association of Cruise Experts (ACE). Agents praised the Celebrity Cruises sales team for being “always available and happy to help with a focus on incentives, training and support.” Major account manager, Ruth Gardiner was highlighted for her “enthusiastic and passionate approach to sales and as a great ambassador for her cruise line.”

Decided by ACE members, the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the UK Cruise Industry’ was awarded to Jo Rzymowska for her “style, passion and unshakeable belief in all that is good in cruising” and for having “helped the cruise industry work together and face the year’s challenges.”

Summing up the ACE Cruise Excellence Awards, Andy Harmer, ACE director said:

“We have recognised some truly outstanding people who have gone over and above expectations in promoting and selling cruise holidays.”

The ACE Cruise Excellence Awards were presented in Birmingham on Thursday 20 September as part of the ACE Columbus Day conference. Recognising exceptional levels of inspiration, leadership and expertise, the awards have grown to offer three new categories this year.
