Anazoe Spa is awarded “Best Hotel Spa” at the ”Health and Spa Awards“ 2016

Anazoe Spa at Costa Navarino
Anazoe Spa at Costa Navarino, won the 1st award  in the “Best Hotel  Spa” category at this year’s  Health and Spa Awards, in a prize-giving ceremony held in Vienna on September 15th.  The award is the only independent award for health and Spa innovations and Spa Management throughout Europe.

This award, which is received following numerous other accolades, confirms Anazoe’s commitment to adopt global best practices and excel in service delivery.

According to the Agency for Health and Wellness, the award is compared to the "Oscars” of the film industry.   The institution aims to reward outstanding achievements and innovations in the industry, as well as to announce the quality of individual wellness and their innovations across Europe.

Anazoe Spa was selected among more than 100  participants in total. The awards are the result of an independent jury and represent the toughest evaluation in Europe, because many submitters drop out due to the strict evaluation procedure. An extensive questionnaire and a mystery check are part of the assessment process. The evaluation is carried out on the basis of 8 criteria points (design & engineering, health, offers & service, economy, benefit, creativity, sustainability and social corporate responsibility (SCR).

The Director of Anazoe Spa, Dora Koromila, said: “The Anazoe Spa was recognised for the quality of its health and spa facilities and its innovative and seamless services. It is a great honor to receive such a prominent distinction out of so many participants, which is the result of an independent European jury.  We are truly committed to offer our clients outstanding services, unique wellness experiences and our signature, authentic treatments”.

The name Anazoe derives from the Greek word for rejuvenation and encapsulates the underlying aim of the spa, which is a total revitalisation of body and spirit in accordance with the ancient Greek maxim “a healthy mind in a healthy body”. The spa’s unique oleotherapy® signature treatments are based on thousand-year-old local practices inscribed on clay tablets that were discovered at the nearby Palace of Nestor, combined with using the area’s exclusive natural ingredients and the physiotherapy techniques as taught by Hippocrates, the ‘father’ of western medicine.
