The London Venue Awards introduce new categories for 2016

London Venue Award winners 2015
The Global Conference Network, organiser of The London Venue Awards, today announces new categories for this year’s event.
The awards, in their second year, recognise excellence and quality offered at venues across our capital city and will be held on 14th October at the Emirates Stadium.
The inaugural London Venue Awards were launched last year and were a great success attracting over 350 venue professionals, who came together in style to applaud their industry and individual venues success.

The awards celebrate a wide range of venues, from ‘best conference venue’, ‘best restaurant for business events’ and ‘best sporting venue for events’ to ‘best museum or tourists attraction’ and ‘best London rooftop venue’. This year, the London Venue Awards has expanded with more categories, ensuring more types of venues can get involved and participate.

The new categories are:
Best Wedding Venue – Judges are looking for a stunning backdrop for a wedding ceremony, first class facilities in keeping with what is demanded by the customer, flexible services which allow the client to adapt the format of their wedding to their personal requirements, modern equipment and technology within the venue, excellent customer service and support prior to the wedding taking place as well as during the wedding, competitive pricing and value for money and outstanding catering for the wedding party.

Best Christmas Corporate Party Venue – Judges are looking for first class interior design and facilities, quality and innovative drinks and food, flexible services for private hire clients, modern equipment and technology and outstanding acoustics, excellent customer service and support, competitive pricing and value for money and innovative events and use of space.

Best Bar or Nightclub Venue – Judges are looking for first class interior design and facilities, quality and innovative drinks and food, flexible services for private hire clients, modern equipment and technology and outstanding acoustics, excellent customer service and support, competitive pricing and value for money and innovative events and use of space.

Rory Ross Russell, Co-Director of the Global Conference Network, says: “The first awards were a fabulous success attracting over 350 venue professionals, who came together in style to applaud their industry and individual venues success.

“Winning one of the award categories is a fantastic achievement, a benchmark of success and achievement, bringing pride, peer acknowledgement and marketing advantage to the deserving recipient. With our rigorous judging panel, comprised of highly respected professionals from across venues and end users, the London Venue Awards has quickly gained the respect and backing of the industry that they were designed to serve and celebrate.

“We look forward to following last year’s success with another great awards for 2016.”
