LUX* Resorts & Hotels scoops three prestigious international awards

LUX* Resorts & Hotels has triumphed in three esteemed international awards, including the World Luxury Travel Awards, the TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards, and Worldwide Hospitality Awards, taking home accolades that recognise the groups’ commitment to providing five-star hospitality like no other to guests.

The Mauritian hotel group was awarded first place in the ‘Luxury Hotel Brand – Indian Ocean’ category at the ninth edition of the World Luxury Hotel Awards. CEO of the group, Paul Jones comments: “This is a first for the group since its birth four years ago. We are also delighted to have won the ‘Chairman’s Award,’ a title first introduced in 2015.”

In addition, four LUX* resorts have been recognised in the Mauritius category of the ‘TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2016,’ in which LUX* Belle Mare came first in the list, cementing its position as the best hotel in Mauritius. This was followed closely by LUX* Le Morne in third place; Tamassa in fourth place; and LUX* Grand Gaube in sixth. Similarly, in a list of the ‘25 Best Hotels in Africa,’ LUX * Belle Mare was voted second, followed by LUX* Le Morne in eighth place, and Tamassa in 11th place. Paul Jones is delighted with this excellent outcome, commenting: “It is such an honour that travellers have rewarded our resorts through one of the largest travel review websites in the world. This demonstrates the hard work of our team, who continually excel to meet the expectations of our customers."

Finally, LUX* is thrilled to unveil that the LUX* ME Spa has been awarded ‘Best Innovation in Wellness’ at the 16th edition of the Worldwide Hospitality Awards, held recently in Paris. From over 100 projects presented across 16 categories, 48 finalists and winners were retained after an online vote and the deliberation of two juries of experts, both hoteliers and non-hoteliers, aimed at recognising the initiatives taken by groups and brands to make the international hotel industry evolve.
