The ArcelorMittal Orbit has announced that it has won ‘Best Unusual or Unique Venue - up to 200 attendees’ at the inaugural London Venue Awards and has been highly commended in the ‘Best New Event Space’ category at the annual Event Awards, both held this month. These two awards join an impressive list of accolades for the venue including being awarded ‘Coolest for Product Launches’ at the Prestige Events Cool Venue Awards in March 2015.

Mark Emmerson, General Manager Hospitality at the ArcelorMittal Orbit said, “We are delighted to win these two prestigious accolades – they are a wonderful recognition of our unique venue and our team’s dedication to delivering excellent events. We have had a fantastic 18 months since the ArcelorMittal Orbit reopened as a visitor attraction and events space in April 2014. We have hosted a wide range of events including press conferences, product launches, weddings, parties with international DJs, business breakfasts and dinners, receptions and networking events to name a few. We are looking forward to a busy and successful Christmas and 2016.”

The ArcelorMittal Orbit is a show-stopping venue for any occasion. The two viewing platforms are 76m and 80m above the city, and at any time of day or night, have awe-inspiring views of the London skyline and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The ArcelorMittal Orbit can host 250 guests standing and 180 seated – there are a range of different set up styles available. The ArcelorMittal Orbit is about to get even more ‘unusual and unique,’ as construction on a giant slide that will wrap around the structure will start in spring 2016. The slide, which will be the longest covered tunnel slide in the world, will be an exciting and alternative way to descend from the viewing platforms, and will give a different perspective of Britain’s tallest sculpture.

EastTwenty Hospitality Suite is 50 metres from the ArcelorMittal Orbit and is an elegant and contemporary venue with an outdoor terrace and views of Anish Kapoor’s sculpture and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It can host meetings and events for up to 220 standing or 90 seated.

The team at the ArcelorMittal Orbit tailor each event to the event organisers’ requirements. Event catering is provided by EastTwenty Events who create a range of seasonal menus and drinks lists to suit every occasion.
