Italian Hospitality Collection wins big at World Spa Awards 2015

Italian Hospitality Collection celebrates four awards for Fonteverde, Grotta Giusti and Bagni di Pisa

Italian Hospitality Collection has announced that all three of its Tuscan properties have triumphed at the World Spa Awards 2015, held on 14th September in Danang, Vietnam:
·         Fonteverde won the World's Best Countryside Hotel Spa 2015
·         Grotta Giusti won the World's Best Thermal Grotto Spa 2015
·         Bagni di Pisa won the Europe's Best Hotel Spa 2015 and Italy's Best Hotel Spa 2015

Created as an offshoot of the prestigious World Travel Awards, now in its 22nd year, the World Spa Awards were created to accommodate the spa industry which has grown hugely in both size and influence over the past decade.

Roberto Micciulli, Managing Director of Italian Hospitality Collection said of the wins: ‘We are absolutely delighted that our spa hotels are being recognised as some of the very best in the world. We were up against stiff competition so to win these prestigious awards is a huge honour for me and for all of the teams who work so hard on ensuring the highest quality of service for guests.’

Residence to the Medici family in the 17th Century and nestled in the Sienese hills of the Val d’Orcia, Fonteverde offers a wide range of bespoke treatments created by an in-house team of specialists. Each is designed to unite the precious properties of thermal spa waters with pioneering manual therapy techniques, physiotherapy and science.

Set in carefully manicured parkland, Grotta Giusti, the 19th century villa of the Italian poet Giuseppe Giusti, offers 64 lavish room with marble bathrooms, thermal water on tap, and what he regarded as the “eighth wonder of the world” - the millennial thermal cave. Going leagues beyond the usual spa menu, treatments include underwater hydro massages, a detoxifying natural steam bath in the ancient grottoes and even scuba diving in the underground hot spring lake.

Grotta Giusti’s most recent addition to this list - the ‘Longevity’ Programme - has already proved a hit since its launch in August. It recently won ‘Innovative Medical Spa’ in the ESPA Innovation Awards 2015, due to its pioneering regime which includes blood testing, DNA testing and medical consultations.

Bagni di Pisa is the ideal haven for art and spa lovers; it is the 18th century summer residence of the Grand Duke Francesco Stefano of Lorena. For those seeking a little holistic pampering, the natural spa specialises in weight loss and detoxification using a positive approach towards nutrition, with the hot springs and relaxation treatments offering both physical and mental cleansing.
