Qatar Tourism Authority announced as a finalist in the Travel Agents Choice Awards 2015  for the Tawash Training Programme

Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has been announced as a nominated finalist at the Travel Agents Choise Awards 2015. QTA has been included for their Tawash online training platform, in the category of top Training Programme.
Organised by Selling Travel since 2004, The Travel Agents Choice Awards acknowledge excellence within the travel industry and are the only awards that are entirely decided by travel professionals.

As they are decided by those really in the know, the awards are highly regarded within the UK travel industry. Voters include users of leading online training provider, Travel Uni, travel agents, homeworkers, online agencies and tour operator reservation staff.

Tawash, an online destination training programme for UK travel agents and other tourism industry professionals, has been developed as part of QTA’s ongoing work to facilitate and strengthen relationships with the UK trade. Across five modules, the course, which is completely free of charge, allows for flexible  studying. Each module ends with a multiple choice test which needs to be completed before progressing.

An important platform for Qatar’s promotion in the UK market, Tawash educates front line sales staff enabling them to confidently offer and sell the destination to their clients. Particular emphasis is given to educating the trade on Qatar’s superb and varied leisure activities with a luxury and cultural focus.

An ultra-dynamic, modern country showcasing deep cultural roots, Qatar ranks as one of the most exciting destinations to be explored in the world of travel today. Combining old world hospitality and traditions with cosmopolitan sophistication in a clean and safe environment, it presents all the ingredients to appeal to the UK traveller, whether visitors are seeking a diverse new cultural experience, an action-packed desert adventure or simply a relaxing five star escape.

With a lively cultural scene, Qatar offers a wealth of cultural and historical experiences, including the Museum of Islamic Art, which houses the largest collection of Islamic art in the world, the  Sheik Faisal Museum, a unique museum home to an eclectic selection of artefacts and the purpose-built facilities of Katara Cultural Village which stage a variety of theatrical, dance and musical performances by regional and international artists.
