Global Conference Network launches first-ever London Venue Awards

The Global Conference Network is launching the inaugural London Venue Awards, which will take place at the Emirates Stadium on Friday 16 October. Created by the Global Conference Network, the London Venue Awards will recognise excellence in quality, performance and service at the capital’s venues.

A panel of 33, headlined by actor, screenwriter and director, Richard E Grant will judge the entries. Senior-level industry judges include Greg Lawson, CEO at Smart Group; Lawson Muncaster, managing director, City AM; Tracy Halliwell, director of business and tourism & major events, London & Partners; Anna Fenten, head of marketing at Levy Restaurants UK and Rebecca Kane Burton, general manager at The O2. The London Venue Awards will represent a powerful marketing tool for enhanced venue recognition in the highly-competitive London venue marketplace.

The Emirates Stadium, home to Arsenal Football Club, will play host to the lunchtime ceremony, where attendees will enjoy a drinks reception followed by a three-course luncheon with wine.

Claire Wormsley, director and co-founder of the Global Conference Network comments: “This is a momentous occasion, not only for us in presenting the awards, but also an opportunity to reward and recognise the wealth of high-calibre venues in the capital. The awards also provide venues with a chance to add real credibility to their brand, inspire employees and recognise excellence in teams. It’s sure to be a blockbuster year for the Network and we’re very excited for the times that lie ahead.”

Award entries are adjudicated independently online using the latest technology ensuring that the winners are fairly chosen. Find further details on judging criteria, categories and judges profiles on the official website: http://londonvenueawards.co.uk/.
