Luxury Borders hotel scoops multiple accolades at Scottish Hotel AwardsThe Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course, based in the heart of the Scottish Borders, scored a hole in one at the weekend winning the title of Golf Hotel of the Year.
The luxurious hotel and sporting estate, which recently welcomed a Chez Roux restaurant, founded by legendary Chef Albert Roux OBE, was applauded for its commitment to the game and outstanding golfing environment at the Scottish Hotel Awards.
Set in 200 acres of parkland the course is the region's first Championship Golf Course part of the ancestral estate of the Duke of Roxburghe.
David Robertson, general manager of the Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course said: “As Scotland is the home of Golf, it is great recognition for the hotel and course as we help prove the value of such a global sport.”
“We have recently introduced to the hotel a new Chez Roux restaurant and we have some additional developments planned this year to further improve the visitor experience. These awards really highlight that we are on the right tracks.”
Aside from winning the national award, they scooped two regional awards – Golf Hotel of the Year and Country House Hotel of the Year.
Judges considered a range of hotels’ golfing facilities, awarding the winning accolades to the hotel demonstrating passion for the game and understanding golfers’ specific needs as well as proving an innovative approach and established international capabilities.
