Chicagoland’s North American Meetings Industry Day Four Star Awards nominees announced

Chicagoland celebrates North American Meetings Industry Day and Four Star Award winners April 16, 2015

PCMA, PCMA Education Foundation, Choose Chicago, Chicago Area Chapter of MPI, Midwestern Chapter of IAEE and the Greater Midwest Chapter of PCMA will be celebrating the Meetings Industry and Chicagoland’s Four Star Award heroes at the Meetings Mean Business first annual North American Meetings Industry Day [NAMID] on April 16, 2015. The organizations and their industry colleagues will gather at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, 8:30am-10:00am, for the awards program, emceed by the WGN broadcast celebrity Bob Sirott

The event is designed to bring a national spotlight to the substantial value derived from business meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive travel, trade shows and exhibitions by connecting people and driving positive business results throughout the continent. The Chicagoland Four Star Award Nominee finalist are:
Most Attentive Hotelier (the Chicagoland Hotelier who takes service to the next level)
• Joe Aguilera, General Manager, Langham Hotel Chicago
• Patrick Donelly, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Chicago
• Ken Price, Director of Public Relations and Hotel Historian, Palmer House Hilton

Best Industry Advocate (the Meetings or Trade show Executive who assists in elevating the industry)
• Jim Grillo, CMP, President, Here's Chicago
• Susan Katz, Director of Corporate Events & Travel, True Value Inc.
• John Patronski, Executive Vice President - Industry Development, Global Experience Specialists (GES)

Four Star Service Award (the Convention/Event Services Professional who has saved the day)
• Sean Cannon, Owner, Event Creative
• Karen Giobbia, Chef Concierge, Park Hyatt Chicago
• Cindy Payne, Director, Client Services, Choose Chicago

Most Tasteful Restaurateur (the Restaurateur who exemplifies hospitality and is a positive representative of the local culinary scene)

• Dino Northway, sales Manager, Potbelly's

Positive Footprint Award (the corporation or association whose event or meeting gave back to the local community)

The Chicagoland Four Star Award nominations were submitted by local meeting professionals. Nomination finalists were selected by the event sponsors based on the submissions. The ultimate award winner, chosen by our sponsor judges, will be announced at the April 16 event.
