The Award is based on the international hotel group’s 1000-point checklist of quality assessment, which is used for all 280 hotels in the UK and 4000 around the world. The hotel has achieved 984/1000 - an increase of 30 points on last year and one of the top results across the group.
Emma Lee, general manager of the hotel said: “Achieving this Best Western Award underlines our policy of continuous improvement at the Crown Hotel, which includes not only the physical upkeep and refurbishment but also the ongoing team training.“
The hotel has risen in the past year from 38th to 5th in the group’s rankings and was cited to have delivered the most improved service levels and customer satisfaction of all 280 UK hotels in the group.
“We were thrilled with last year’s result and to receive the news that our score has increased yet again, is thanks to our enlightened owner and a great team of staff who have a fantastic attitude towards our guests,” adds Emma.
