Awards success for Hogarths Hotel & Restaurant

Hogarths Hotel & Restaurant
Staff at a luxury hotel in Solihull marked the 10th anniversary of its current owners by winning two categories at the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Awards 2014.
Helena and Andy Hogarth took over the privately-owned Hogarths Hotel & Restaurant in Four Ashes Road, Dorridge, in October 2004 with the anniversary being marked by a charity ball in aid of the Brain Tumour Trust at the venue.

The high level of customer service at the four-star hotel was rewarded when assistant conference and events manager Nathan Blake won the Customer Service award at the Chamber’s annual employee awards which were announced at Henley Golf and Country Club in Henley-in-Arden.

He was followed on stage by human resources manager Siobhan Chambers to collect the Highly Commended Award for Outstanding Employee.

Bar8 Brasserie assistant manager Olly Sheppard was presented with a Highly Commended Award in the Young Achiever of the Year category while Bar Brasserie manager Edy Dicevicius was placed third in the Career Development section.

Steven Quick, general manager at Hogarth's Hotel & Restaurant, said each member of staff had initially been nominated by one of the sponsors of the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Awards.

“Everyone was then interviewed and judged on their nomination before the results were announced at the Chamber’s 11th awards,” he said.

“These awards are a fantastic way of recognising the hard work of staff who constantly go above and beyond to deliver the best possible service.

“Competition is always tough since there are so many great organisations in the Midlands and our success is a tremendous reflection on the staff and the standards which have been introduced by Helena and Andy since they took over Hogarth’s ten years ago.

“Ensuring top quality customer service day in, day out is extremely important at Hogarth’s which is why Helena and Andy have invested in the AA Red Star programme to drive standards even higher.

“We are extremely proud of Nathan, Siobhan, Olly and Edy and their success is totally deserved since they are committed to their personal development and to delivering great customer service to our guests whether they are visiting for a wedding, business meeting or dinner.

“These awards have been announced hot-on-the-heels of Hogarth’s being crowned the number one hotel in Solihull on Trip Advisor and eighth place in the West Midlands which is testament to the great service and hospitality that the entire team provides.”
