The View from The Shard wins ‘London Cultural Attraction of the Year’ in London Lifestyle Awards 2014

On Wednesday 8th October, The View from The Shard was named ‘London Cultural Attraction of the Year’ at the fifth annual London Lifestyle Awards. The viewing platform at the top of Western Europe’s tallest building gained the most public votes for the category sponsored by Gulf Air, beating finalists The London Eye, Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) and London Zoo (ZSL).

Since opening in February 2013, The View from The Shard has successfully positioned itself as a unique destination for Londoners to engage with their city, with expansive 360 degree views for up to 40 miles and a sell-out series of sky-high events including yoga mornings and silent discos. Offering innovative interpretation of London’s skyline, the attraction also features state of the art interactive Tell:scopes which allow guests to explore the city as far back as Roman times with panoramas from the Museum of London archives, and most recently a ‘Future View from The Shard’ including models of planned construction up to the year 2030.
