The ATPI Group scoops top honours at business travel’s The People Awards

Leading corporate travel and events business, the ATPI Group, is celebrating after walking away from the prestigious People Awards this past week with the Reservations Team of the Year Award as well as the Account Manager of the Year Award.

The Seadrill Business Travel Team at ATPI scooped the Reservations Team of the Year Award, which recognises “the team that has demonstrated excellent customer service, a can-do attitude, and the ability to go the extra mile for their customers.” ATPI has handled the account of offshore deep-water drilling global company Seadrill since 2011 and is integral to their operations across fifteen countries and five continents.

The following comments were provided by the judges on the Seadrill Business Travel Team at ATPI: “The winners clearly demonstrated how they worked together delivering a proactive and innovative approach to a challenging account. The team played a major role in transforming the clients working processes resulting in a more efficient programme in terms of cost and service delivery. Statistical data submitted as part of their nomination further demonstrated to the judges the overall strength of this team.”

Joining the Seadrill Business Travel Team up on the podium was the ATPI Group’s Head of Global Corporate Account Management Karen Isherwood who was awarded the prestigious prize of Account Manager of the Year, which recognises “an individual that has demonstrated the ability to provide excellent customer service using an innovative, practical and strategic approach across operational management.”

The following comments were provided by the judges on Karen Isherwood:   “The judges were extremely impressed with the consultative approach adopted by the winner of this category to deliver creative solutions for the clients. Recognising how data plays an ever increasing role in business travel management, automated reports were designed to ensure clients had accurate and relevant information to drive their programmes strategically rather than reactively.”

Peter Muller, Chief Operating Officer for Europe and the USA, ATPI commented:   “I’m thrilled that some of ATPI’s brightest stars have been honoured by The People Awards, an industry-wide recognised symbol of business excellence. It’s a great reflection of both Karen and the team’s hard work and a true testament to their complete dedication to ensuring our clients are number one in everything we do. This award firmly places our business as one of the premier business travel providers out there whose customer service is second to none and I couldn’t be more proud of them.”

The awards, held last week at The Park Plaza hotel in London, brought together over 300 business travel people to recognise the industry’s finest talent. Launched by The Business Travel Magazine, the People Awards recognise individuals and teams within corporates, travel management companies and travel suppliers whose professionalism and business excellence make them stand out from their industry peers.
