The award recognises the outstanding individual from any sector of the business travel industry who is under 35 years of age and has demonstrated a desire to develop into a business leader of the future through excellence in and a fresh approach to their role.
Rupert first joined HRG six years ago as a trainee support consultant providing front line support on HRG Technology to a variety of different clients from government, pharmaceutical, banking and other commercial sectors.
Two years later Rupert was promoted to Support Liaison dealing with a number of different departments such as implementation, development and client management within HRG to ensure that client satisfaction with HRG Technology and productivity within the support centre remained high.
Today, Rupert holds a newly created position within HRG on the Global Government team as Continuous Improvement Manager. Rupert works internally with the different departments across the Government business and has to frequently update and present to senior management. Rupert also regularly supports client management and visits clients to hold forums and workshops. Internally and externally, Rupert creates and manages various initiatives to improve online adoption, reduce leakage, and increase revenue and technology best practice.

The HRG Government Services Account Management Team was also recognised at The People Awards. The team were acknowledged as Highly Commended in the Account Management Team of the Year category. The award recognises the team that takes a proactive and consultative approach to providing unrivalled customer service, care and value to their clients.
