Holiday Inn York celebrate outstanding award win

Holiday Inn York, part of the award-winning hotel chain IHG UK Managed Hotels, has been recognised for outstanding customer service with Jade Kelly scooping the top prize at the Visit York Tourism Awards last night.
The Outstanding Customer Service Award recognises individuals from retail businesses that have shown exceptional customer service skills working in hospitality.


Jade, who is a Restaurant and Bar Team Member at Holiday Inn York was praised for putting guests experience at the heart of everything she does. Playing an integral part in the hotel’s food and beverage team, Jade from York was also acknowledged for going above and beyond the call of duty, inspiring her colleagues with her friendliness, caring attitude and professionalism.  

Douglas Winfield, General Manager at Holiday Inn York, said: “Jade has been a credit to the hotel ever since she joined four years ago at 16 years of age. We are extremely proud of Jade and delighted she has been recognised for her dedication and hard work. Winning the award particularly means a lot to the hotel, as it demonstrates our commitment to customer service by ensuring our guests receive a level of service they cannot find elsewhere in the area.”
