Earls Court and Olympia London celebrate double win

Earls Court and Olympia London celebrated two wins at Thursday night’s Exhibition News Awards, scooping awards for Best Marketing Campaign and Best Venue Event Manager. Held at London’s ExCel centre, the event celebrates industry excellence with a cross section of judges from exhibition organisers and venues selecting the best talent and achievements for recognition. It was with great pride that Earls Court and Olympia London secured prestigious awards in two key categories.

Collecting the award for Best Marketing Campaign for the ‘best brand-boosting’ campaign of 2013 was Tom Lambregts, Head of Marketing at Earls Court and Olympia London. The award was in recognition of Olympia London’s rebrand campaign following the historic venue’s recent £30 million investment. An imaginative and strategic campaign succeeded in highlighting the value of its new spaces and enhanced existing spaces. Particularly effective components of the campaign included the new, high-quality content website and a clean and confident visual style across advertising. The team was also able to demonstrate measurable impact to judges: venue enquiries increased 50% while client perceptions improved in key areas, including perception of its central and convenient location.

Jazmin Beale Marketing Manager for Earls Court and Olympia commented: "We are incredibly proud to have played a part in the re-launch of one of the UK's leading venues and are delighted to be recognised by the industry for our hard work on this project."

Best Venue Event Manager went to Stuart Tomlinson in recognition for his outstanding work as Head of Events and Contract Manager for Earls Court and Olympia Venues. The award is presented to an event manager who has gone beyond the call of duty to ensure the success of exhibitions at their venue.

Stuart commented: “Winning the award demonstrates the great customer service we’re known for and are committed to continuing to offer. It’s all about delivering dreams to our visitors and clients. On a personal level I am delighted because award entries have to be first nominated by peers, which means a lot.”

Earls Court and Olympia London were also pleased to see wins elsewhere at the event with homegrown talent and recent graduate, Penny Law, winning for Best Organiser Operations  Manager. Penny Law, now at CloserStill Media, was a successful student on Earls Court and Olympia London’s ongoing mentorship programme at Earls Court and Olympia London venues.
