Cotai Strip Resorts Macao earns four major hotel awards

The Venetian Macao and Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central garner four more recognitions in March alone

March has been another month of achievements for the multi-award-winning Cotai Strip Resorts Macao, as The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel and Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central garnered a total of four hotel awards from prestigious industry organisations in just one month, carrying on its reputation as a leading integrated resort city worldwide and pinpointing its unparalleled facilities and excellent service that have continued to make it among the best travel destinations in the region.

“It has been a noteworthy month for Cotai Strip Resorts Macao and we’re extremely delighted and honoured to have received these four distinctive awards,” said Gunther Hatt, Executive Vice President of Operations for Sands China Ltd. “It’s our goal to offer both leisure and business travellers an incomparable and award-winning integrated resort experience at Cotai Strip Resorts Macao, and these recognitions are a strong testament to that success. Nevertheless, we won’t rest on our laurels and will continue to be the top destination for business, leisure and family travel in Macao.”

The ever-popular Venetian Macao has been named The Best Luxury Resort in the World in the India’s Best Awards 2013 by Travel + Leisure India & South Asia for the third consecutive year. The coveted award was presented by the lifestyle magazine at an awards ceremony March 31 in India.

The other two most recent accolades for The Venetian Macao are the Most Popular Resort Hotel in Asia Award, awarded at the China Hotel Golden Horse Award ceremony in Guangzhou March 20, and the Best Resort Hotel Award bestowed by Voyage magazine at the Best Hotel & Resort Value Award ceremony in Shanghai March 6.

In addition, Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central, part of the Sands® Cotai Central integrated resort at Cotai Strip Resorts Macao, has earned the honour of Best Hotel Brand in the 2013-2014 Readers’ Choice Tourism Awards ceremony by Beijing Youth Daily Group (BYDG) in Beijing March 14 – making it the only hotel in Hong Kong and Macao awarded. BYDG is China’s leading modern media group with 10 newspapers, five magazines and two websites in its portfolio. The annual Readers’ Choice Tourism Awards allows its readers a platform to vote for their favourite hotel, restaurant and luxury brands, rewarding them for providing outstanding service and facilities.

The four hotel awards Cotai Strip Resorts Macao has received in March closely follow the official Star Ratings the integrated resort city’s hotels received from the illustrious Forbes Travel Guide 2014 Awards in January. The Venetian Macao; Conrad Macao, Cotai Central; Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central; and Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip garnered 17 total stars in the hotel category, making Cotai Strip Resorts Macao hotels the most-awarded in Macao. Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central also has the unique distinction of being the only Holiday Inn in the world to receive an official Star Rating by Forbes in 2014.

Cotai Strip Resorts Macao provides a broad array of business, leisure, and entertainment options to suit every type of guest, offering a diversity of choices in world-class dining, retail, entertainment, meeting facilities and, of course, award-winning accommodation, including four Forbes-ranked hotels all under just one roof.
