Peter Stockmann presented with IACC-America’s highest honour

IACC-Americas has announced that Peter Stockmann, Chairman and COO of 3P Business Solutions of Bloomfield Hills, MI is the recipient of the coveted Mel Hosansky Award for Distinguished Service, IACC-Americas’ highest and most prestigious honour.  TJ Fimmano, President of IACC-Americas (and General Manager, Dolce Hotels & Resorts at GE Crotonville), presented the award last week at the association’s 33rd annual conference at Pacific Palms Resort in Los Angeles, CA

“I am truly honoured to receive this award” said Stockmann, “especially knowing the list of past recipients who have made such an impact on our association and our industry.  My experience – particularly 12 years on the education programs – has been rewarding and exciting.  I encourage each of you to get involved; this is a very exciting time to be active in IACC.”

In presenting the award, Fimmano noted that, “on some level, Stockmann has had an influence on every person in the room.” Fimmano cited that among Stockmann’s many achievements, was the reinvention or re-mastering of the IACC-Americas Annual Conference many times over, including this year’s event, which garnered the largest attendance in five years.

Among his achievements with IACC, Stockmann was a presenter/facilitator at the annual conference for eight years; served as Chair of the Food and Beverage Committee for two years, Chair of the Education Committee for six years; he was actively involved on the Board of Directors for four years; served as President of the Board for two years; the Executive Committee for ten years; the IACC-Global Board of Directors for two years; held the position of Treasurer for IACC Global for three years; and was active in every imaginable capacity of the Annual Conference Planning Committee for 17 years.

Stockmann also attended several IACC-Europe annual conferences, European Study Tours, and international trade shows.  Fimmano noted: “Stockamnn has visited more IACC properties in the Americas and around the globe than anyone in IACC’s 33-year history.”
