Events firm scoops major Midlands business award

Aesthetics Events Staff Ltd won the Service Provider of the Year (over £1m turnover) at the Midlands Business Awards at a prestigious ceremony in Birmingham. The company, which was founded by female entrepreneur Lee Thomas in 1996, now supplies staff to a range of venues, events and businesses including Wembley Stadium, the All England Tennis Club at Wimbledon, Arsenal, Twickenham, Tottenham, Silverstone, Fiat, Ferrari and Samsung.

Aesthetics employs ten permanent staff at its base in Coventry and has over 8,000 staff on its roster from across the globe.

It is often complimented by clients on the levels of customer service it provides and that played a part in the firm beating off competition from four other companies in its field at the awards.

Harj Sandher, the organiser of the Midlands Business Awards, said: “Aesthetics deals with major national and international venues and brands on a daily basis and they maintain the very highest standards of customer service to their clients.

“The company’s overall entry was extremely positive and highlighted the quality of their work and the judging panel were particularly impressed to see testimonials from organisations such as a Premier League football club, a major international financial institution and also for the work Aesthetics undertook during the Olympics in 2012.

“In an extremely competitive world, Aesthetics proved adept at going above and beyond the call of duty for its clients and that gave them the edge in this category at the Midlands Business Awards.”

Lee Thomas, managing director of Aesthetics, said the company had to put customer service at the heart of its business.

She said: “For some companies, their customer care strategy does not have to be at the front and centre of their business. They may have a product or service that is so in-demand that their customer service can sometimes wane.

“For Aesthetics, we can only survive by having the best possible customer service because that is at the core of the business. Every new contract win and every renewed contract is a testament to the quality of the service the company and our staff provides. Customer care does not support the business – it is the very reason we exist and is precisely what we do.

“It is great to see the efforts of the whole team and every member of staff who works for us to be recognised in this way.”
