Local businesses to be celebrated with the announcement of the Bath Events, Hospitality and Tourism Awards (BEHTA)

Bath Tourism Plus (BTP) in partnership with FAB! Events Global and Breeze FM, today announced that the 2014 Bath Events, Hospitality and Tourism Awards (BEHTA) are now officially open for entries. The inaugural BEHTA’s aim will be to recognise and celebrate the very best businesses and individuals from the events, hospitality and tourism industry in Bath and beyond.

BEHTA is a new, fresh and exciting awards programme that has a specially developed bespoke website linked to the Bath Tourism Plus website; where all entries for each of the 21 categories can be submitted on-line.

The celebration will be a ceremony not witnessed in Bath before! The FAB! team are experts in delivering high quality awards programmes from concept to celebration and are the chosen team to run the events industry's top awards, The Eventia Awards.

The BEHTA Awards will culminate in a stunning celebratory ceremony on Friday 6th June at the Assembly Rooms with the winners of many of the tourism categories being put forward for the National Tourism Awards 2015.

Chief Executive of Bath Tourism Plus, Nick Brooks-Sykes said: “Apart from celebrating the best of the region’s tourism sector, these Awards will provide a showcase for industry best-practice and will shine a spotlight on the regions top-quality tourism businesses. I would encourage anyone in the tourism industry to enter, as businesses will inevitably profit from the extra media and consumer attention given to each of the winners. I am in no doubt that judging will be extremely difficult since Bath and the surrounding area have so many high quality businesses, however it will make winning a BEHTA award extremely competitive but highly coveted.”
