ISES UK members win at International Gala Awards in Nashville

Ronan Traynor Managing Director, Verve Marketing & James Morgan Chair, ISES EMEA
Following on from the success of Smart Hospitality's International Esprit Award in summer 2013, the Arena Group and Dublin based Verve Marketing pulled off an international awards coup at Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville on Friday night.

The International Gala Awards honour event companies from around the world. Verve beat off competition from two German companies to win Best Association or Corporate Event (budget $250,000 - $500,000) for their Google 'Rock and Royalty' event.

Arena Americas, part of UK based Arena Group, beat off competition from two US companies to win Best Tent Installation for its 'Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Gala' structure. The pop-up 'Tiffany Box' venue wowed New Yorkers, the US press and the judges.

James Morgan, Chair of ISES EMEA said; “It’s fantastic to see UK and central European members winning these prestigious international awards. I would encourage UK companies, whether ISES members or not, to seriously consider entering international awards. Achieving greater visibility and international recognition for the high quality production values and innovative events produced by UK companies creates competitive advantage in local-global market places. ISES is always ready to advise and assist our members in achieving this kind of international recognition.”

Entries from the Americas, Europe and Asia competed for 35 Gala Awards. The next international Gala Award ceremony will be held at The Special Event exhibition in Anaheim California in January 2015.
