Stonewall, the leading charity for lesbian, gay, bi and trans equality, will host an evening reception for 500 people at the London venue on Thursday 21st July. This red carpet event will be attended by celebrities, high-level donors and senior executives. Supported by the Societe Generale, the party will raise money to battle homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. It will be hosted by celebrity Gok Wan and includes a champagne reception for guests, a barbecue dinner and auction in the Florence Hall.
Stonewall is a charity that is renowned for its campaigning and lobbying for the protection of lesbian, gay, bi and trans people’s rights. As a member of the Equality and Diversity Forum, Stonewall is committed to progress on age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief and sexual orientation and gender identity issues.
Stonewall’s Ewan Newbigging-Lister says of choosing RIBA Venues for the event: “Having an accessible and inclusive space for Stonewall is absolute essential so RIBA is a perfect venue for us. The Summer Party is one of our most popular events and we have no doubt attendees will be impressed with the Florence Hall and terrace where we’re hosting our party. Fundraising events are essential for Stonewall to continue its vital work to combat homophobia, biphobia and transphobia and create a world where everyone can be accepted without exception.”
RIBA Venues Head of Venues, Stephanie Ellrott, adds: "We are delighted to welcome Stonewall to RIBA Venues and to be supporting such an important cause.”
