Olympia London provides perfect setting for co-locations

Olympia London is welcoming a range of co-located events to its halls, as shows continue to diversify their offering to visitors. Between 5-7th October the iconic venue played host to the established Restaurant Show as well as the new co-located event The Conscious Hospitality Show.

The debut Conscious Hospitality Show brought together more than 50 exhibitors from across the sector and showcased a range of products and services – from eco-friendly cleaning products to food waste management services and catering equipment. Its introduction was the result of a growing demand from the market.

“Co-locating Conscious Hospitality with Restaurant Show satisfies demand from the foodservice sector for information on health and nutrition, responsible sourcing, sustainability and ethical business practices, in the fantastic venue of Olympia London. Running the shows together provides visitors with tailored information that is specific to the restaurant and catering industry,” said Elizabeth Duncan, commercial director for Conscious Hospitality Show.

Between 13-15th November the BBC Good Food Show will welcome the new BBC Good Food Bakes and Cakes Show to sit alongside it at Olympia London. This is the second outing for the dedicated baking event, which launched last year. Among the show’s many features will be a Supertheatre with celebrity chef appearances, as well as a Bakes and Cakes stage and masterclasses.

Laura Biggs, managing director, said: “We know that West London is a perfect place for a baking audience. Similarly, we run very successful shows side by side at the NEC and can see lots of advantages for exhibitors, sponsors and visitors alike by co-locating our two successful London shows side by side at Olympia London.  Visitors to both shows will be allowed free access between the shows and every advance standard ticket holder will be offered a free seat in the 1,200 seat Supertheatre that will host both baking and cooking content, from a renowned crowd of chefs and cooks including  Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood, James Martin and Tom Kerridge.”

Housing such complimentary events at the same time demonstrates Olympia London’s versatility. The interlinking spaces are designed to allow events to flow from one space to another and grow year-on-year.

‘Due to the flexibility of our spaces and the way in which they are connected we are recognised as a perfect setting for the co-location of events. We are seeing more and more niche events sitting alongside long-established brands which helps to give our customers even greater value when they visit,” said Gillian Kiamil, Olympia London venue director.

And it seems the trend will continue into 2016 with UBM recently announcing the co-location of Technology for Marketing, eCommerce Expo and Customer Contact Expo at Olympia London in September.
