Vivid Experience extends partnership with NEC

Vivid Experience event at The NEC
Vivid Experience, the UK’s leading Christmas party organiser, has signed a new three-year deal with the National Exhibition Centre (NEC). The successful partnership will see the ultimate Christmas Party venue hosted in Birmingham each Christmas until 2017.
Following a successful launch at the NEC in 2013, the Vivid Christmas parties have rapidly grown in popularity with over 18,000 guests welcomed to the Birmingham venue in 2014 and in excess of 20,000 expected this year.

Richard Longhill, Managing Director at Vivid Experience, said: “Our Christmas parties have proved very successful since we launched at the NEC in 2013. The excellent reputation of the events has spread quickly throughout Birmingham and further afield and the demand for tickets continues to amaze us with record sales year on year.  The NEC provides us with a blank canvas with endless opportunities, combined with a first-class support team. Our new deal gives us the confidence to invest even further in the product, producing parties that will remain the talk of the town.”

Previous parties have included aerial performances, fairground rides and on-stage entertainment all made possible by the NEC’s large flexible event space.

Louise Hankinson, Live Events Account Manager at the NEC, said: “We have a fantastic working relationship with Vivid Experience and are thrilled with the success of the shows. Due to increasing visitor numbers, Richard and his team have decided to increase the capacity of each party night this year from 1,400 to 1,900, which the NEC has been able to accommodate. We are looking forward to welcoming more excited party-goers than ever before and working with the team at Vivid to bring their newest ideas to life.”

Each year Vivid Experience changes the theme of the events to ensure visitors are continually ‘wowed’. Previous events have been themed ‘Cirque’ and ‘Aspen Rocks’, but in 2015 the event is set to be ‘Festive and Fabulous’.
