La Compagnie is the brainchild of two leaders in the field of air travel – Frantz Yvelin and Peter Luethi – who believe that business class travel and personalised service can be offered at much more respectable fares than currently available. In creating La Compagnie, which has been operating flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle to New York since July 2014, the team have established an airline and level of high-end luxury service that meets the demands of today’s savvy, cost-conscious travellers.
La Compagnie use redesigned Boeing 757-200 aircraft customised with stylish interiors and 74 lie-flat seats in a 2x2 configuration throughout a spacious, single aisle cabin. All seats will have personal Samsung Galaxy Pro 12” tablets, which can be removed from the seat backs, uploaded with an assortment of e-books, magazines, music and the latest movies.
Passengers can look forward to in-flight amenity kits including cosmetic products from natural French skincare brand Caudalie, as well as delicious in-flight meals with seasonal menus created by acclaimed French chef Christophe Langrée, former chef of Hotel de Matignon.
The first La Compagnie flight will depart London Luton for New York, Newark on 24th April. The airline will initially operate three flights per week, increasing to six flights per week from June 2015.
