Air Partner sells ad space on Italian Charter

In an innovative twist for the aviation industry, Air Partner has sold the ‘white space’ on one of its aircraft charters for the first time. The Boeing 737-400 aircraft, which will be based in Milan, will fly passengers to holiday and incentive destinations all over Europe and the Mediterranean area throughout the next 18 months, and will be the first fully branded aircraft to fly the Italian skies in twenty years.

Air Partner is delighted to be able to partner with ParkinGO, the first airport parking network in Italy, to brand the aircraft – raising additional revenues for Air Partner and the operator, while marketing ParkinGO direct to its potential customer base. Air Partner and ParkinGO have worked with the operator Go2Sky to create an approved design that will adorn the aircraft for the next 18 months.

ParkinGO have considerable experience in this area, having previously branded cars, vans and racing bikes, but this will be the first time that they have branded an aircraft. The stickers were produced by a specialist company in Slovakia and it took the team 24 hours working in an aircraft hangar to apply them.

Kiran Parmar, Group Marketing Director of Air Partner commented, “After seeing an opportunity to do something with the ‘white space’ on our aircraft, we are delighted that ParkinGO were keen to partner with us on this initiative. We are always looking for new, exciting services and revenue opportunities; branding the exterior of the aircraft allows us to build on the extensive options we can already provide for the interior of an aircraft. It is a real opportunity for clients to differentiate and heighten their brand visibility.”

ParkinGO commented, “We are very excited by the increased brand visibility that this new initiative will provide to our target group of Italian and European passengers. The originality of the concept appealed to us – it’s not something that has been done before. Part of the advertisement is a competition to see who can take the best photo of ‘our’ aircraft, and we are excited to see the results. We have enjoyed working with the team from Air Partner on this project – it is great to have the opportunity to be part of something so innovative.”
