VisionAir launches on British Airways

On 1st May 2014 a new in-flight entertainment concept will launch across all long haul British Airways flights.

VisionAir is a new approach to onboard destination entertainment and is backed by the GREAT Britain Campaign and London & Partners (the Mayor's official promotional organisation). The films feature pithy insights into the city's DNA: history and politics, social and cultural mores, facts, figures and enlightening trivia are displayed in 3D graphics. Unlike other travel videos, VisionAir films have no voice over and no presenter; a day in the life of the city is captured with cinematic imagery, dynamic graphics and an original music score.

Founded by Stephanie Plentl, a travel & lifestyle writer and actress VisionAir is unique in the destination film market: at less than 5 minutes each, the library of bite-sized city guides feature high quality cinematography and thorough journalistic research.

The current portfolio includes:
• London
• Miami
• Los Angeles
• Cape Town
• Toronto
• Rio de Janeiro

Julie Chappell, Director of Consumer Marketing and Digital Channels at London & Partners said: "We are delighted that London has been added to VisionAir's impressive portfolio and that the capital will be showcased in all it's stunning glory to a captive audience across all British Airways' long haul flights. Capturing London's rich cultural offering and instantly recognisable landmarks, the new VisionAir video is certain to inspire many more travellers from long haul markets to visit and enjoy the capital."

Stephanie Plentl, VisionAir founder, said: 'I hope passengers enjoy our collection so far - we've had enormous fun making it. To be supported by the trinity of British Airways, the GREAT Britain Campaign and London & Partners is marvellous.'

VisionAir is set to launch on American Airlines and US Airways in June.

An extended version on several cities in Brazil is to coincide with the country's busy summer ahead.
