London Luton Airport and Carpatair announce new route from December 2013

Carpatair, one of Romania’s leading airlines, will launch a new service from London Luton Airport to Chisinau, the capital city of the Republic of Moldova; the second new airline to announce a new route from London Luton in as many weeks.

Commencing on Thursday 19th December 2013, services will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, with fares starting from as little as £103 (fare and taxes included).  A 148 seat Boeing 737-300, will service the route with tickets already on sale at and through the Global Distributions Systems via IATA travel agencies in the UK and worldwide.

Simon Harley, Airline Development Manager at London Luton Airport, said: “It is fantastic that Carpatair will shortly begin operating with us. This will be our first service to the Republic of Moldova and to be able to launch a new destination with yet another new carrier choosing to come to London Luton is testament to the Airport’s convenient location and efficient operations. With Carpatair’s quality onboard service and competitive fares, we are sure the Chisinau flights will be a great success.”

Carpatair Network & Revenue Management Director, Darie Andron, said: “We are delighted to connect the Moldovan and English capitals with our new flights.  Responding to our customers’ needs we look forward to serving passengers on this route and making it a further part of this exciting success story.”
