Budapest Airport announces new airline customer Bulgaria Air with flights to Sofia

Budapest Airport has announced that Bulgaria Air, the national carrier of the Republic of Bulgaria, will commence new direct scheduled services between the capital of Sofia and Budapest from 24th June.  The new flights will operate four-times weekly, utilising a combination of a 132-seat Airbus A319 and 100-seat Embraer E190 aircraft.

“We are delighted to announce a new customer to our airport and a new route to Sofia as Routes Europe opens,” said Kam Jandu, Aviation Director.  “Sofia is a dynamic Eastern European capital with beautiful scenery and uniquely, a developed ski-resort adjacent in the Vitosha mountain. We anticipate that it will prove to be an extremely popular year round destination.”
