IFEMA has become a member of a select group of Spanish companies that lead their areas of influence and have a clear international missionFeria de Madrid, IFEMA, has joined the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, a business platform made up of more than 100 Spanish companies with key brands in their respective sectors, and with significant presence and international influence.
The Leading Brands of Spain Forum (FMRE) is a strategic public-private alliance which was founded in 1999 with a mission to develop the strategic importance of brands and drive their internationalisation on all levels, thus strengthening the image of Spanish products and services through these brands with government support.
As well as its membership of more than 100 leading brands, its participants include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, ICEX - Spain Export and Investments and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, (OEPM).

The Board of Directors of the Forum unanimously approved the incorporation of IFEMA as a full member of the Association, based on a track record leadership in trade fair and international event organisation and its work promoting trade and internationalisation of the companies that take part in the events. It also highlighted IFEMA's ability to stimulate different economic sectors in Madrid and nationwide, where it is estimated that its trade fair activity has an economic impact of 2,400 million euros.
From now on, IFEMA will play a very active role in the different work areas organised by the Forum, establishing synergies and joint actions to benefit both organisations and its members. They will also be able to carry out joint projects aimed at promoting and positioning Spanish brands and the country's image, both in Spain and abroad, to encourage the creation and development of renowned national brands in all areas as an essential facet of competitiveness.
IFEMA will contribute its 30 years of experience and know-how as a trade fair organiser, which have positioned it as Spain’s number one operator, and one of the leaders in Europe. In fact, IFEMA, which is now present in some 30 countries around the world, and which has an international expansion strategy with own brand products organised abroad, particularly in Latin America and Asia, provides support and consultancy services to Spanish companies with international ambitions.
