The AV specialists were once again handpicked by the production company BlueDog to bring together a seamless operation of epic proportions to ensure the conference captured the interest of 800 delegates and over 15,000 employees through live streaming.
Nick King, BlueDog CEO and Show Director commented: "We integrated Anna Valley early on into the pre-production process. With such a trusted and proven relationship, I felt very comfortable taking a strong technical support team from the UK to Barcelona in order to deliver a show of this nature."
Ben O’Shea, Production Director at BlueDog commented: "This year we really wanted to make the presentations have a powerful impact not only on those that attended but also those who were watching live across the web. For instance, an interactive grand opening plenary session for all delegates and support staff was devised. Themed around a TV interview show format, the Allergan Leadership team played the role of host interviewing the respective business unit leaders and delivering strong, important and strategic messages to the sales teams across Europe.
"A production of this size and magnitude takes months of careful planning and to work closely with a team of suppliers that are of course trustworthy, reliable and have the capabilities to not only supply the equipment but also have the knowledge to support our production design. The video and screen elements to this show were the key part, not only from a creative point of view but also to make sure that the content was delivered accurately and to a high standard."
The equipment supplied and supported by Anna Valley to create these spectacular presentation included a large LED backdrop to the stage consisting of two 12meter wide by 4meter tall curved AV4 screens, both with smaller, higher resolution AV2 screens (4m x 2m), set into the screen. This allowed both Anna Valley and BlueDog to design a stunning backdrop that fitted well with the stage and set design, curving the screen at each end by 675 degrees. Furthermore, in-between the bespoke, curved, mixed pitch screens were two walls of Hybrid18, one 4.2m x 2.4m, one 3.6m x 1.2m. This allowed stunning pixel-mapped effects to be created on the wall, whilst displaying the powerful graphical content supplied by BlueDog.
Nick Hart, Company Director at Anna Valley added: "It was a privilege to work on a project so vast and that had so many different components. We had a team of 11 to install, manage and take out the equipment. Everyone worked tirelessly to deliver the project.
"The equipment played a central role and at the heart of the system was a Spyder X20. Taking inputs from our state of the art Hippo Boreals, a large number of Mac Pros and a 5 way camera system, the Spyder was used to handle all of the scaling elements as well as the switching. In addition we provided countless monitors, as well as cameras and staff to capture everything happening in and outside of the room.
"Using the latest in streaming technology equipment, we pushed both live cameras and the presentation slides to a bespoke website that we provided to enable the end client to share the bespoke event worldwide."
