ISES UK & The Experience is the Marketing announce ‘Experience the Industry’

Kevin Jackson, Director of Innovation & Ideas, The Experience is the Marketing, presenting
The International Special Event Society UK Chapter (ISES) has agreed a new sponsorship with The Experience is the Marketing that will see the association concentrate its message on the next generation of event organisers.
The partnership will see the implementation of a University Tour that will see the association give students a closer look at the trends and challenges facing the events industry.

It will also see ISES UK work closer with higher education organisations with the chapter’s members giving input into event syllabus. The tour will provide students with new and contemporary information on the issues the industry is dealing with, now and in the future.

“The best way to learn anything is to experience it, so we’ve named this programme ’Experience the Industry’,” comments Kevin Jackson, Director of Innovation & Ideas, The Experience is the Marketing. “It means we can bring to life the world of events, experience marketing and brand activation, and give students a taste of the world they are about to enter.”

ISES UK will involve its membership in the University Tour and encourage those who take a keen interest in event education to get further involved. “This is a subject that is incredibly close to my heart. Talent breeds creativity and creativity grows our sector,” continues Jackson. “There is great talent out there and the more we as an industry put into the educational organisations, the better it will be. This is a responsibility we should all feel.”

The partnership kicks off in spring 2016 and will continue throughout the calendar year. “It’s a bit of an out-dated argument, experience vs. education in this industry,” concludes Jackson. “The answer is both, but we’re looking to make education an experience in its own right – in the ISES UK way.”
