The association’s charity initiative for 2015 is raising money for two industry foundations - Meeting Needs, which delivers life changing assistance to those in need both in the UK and overseas, and the HBAA Foundation which supports the development and retention of talent in the hospitality and meetings sector.
Running until the first week of December, the online auction invites participants to bid on a range of prizes donated by venue members. Highlights include two tickets to see Duran Duran with an overnight stay at the new Village Hotel Glasgow, Afternoon Tea at The Marylebone Hotel in London and two nights stay at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti.
Jacqui Kavanagh, HBAA chair commented: “We’ve had a fantastic response since we launched the online auction and have already raised an incredible amount of money. Both Meetings Needs and the HBAA Foundation are two deserving charities focusing on the future retention and development of industry talent. They will benefit significantly from the ongoing generosity of our members.”
