UKinbound thrilled with Chinese visitor visa cost reduction

In response to the Prime Minister’s announcement of a significant reduction in costs for a long-term multi-entry visa for Chinese tourists, UKinbound is thrilled with the Government’s efforts in improving the competitiveness of the UK’s visa system and making the UK more accessible.

UKinbound’s Chief Executive Officer, Deirdre Wells OBE, comments: “We are delighted at the announcement to reduce the cost of the multi-entry visa for Chinese visitors.   We have long been campaigning for a change to the visa costs, which was a key plank of our #TourismABC manifesto. China is a vitally important market for our 350 members and this announcement will greatly help to boost the UK's competitiveness."

Coinciding with the Chinese President’s visit to the UK, the Prime Minister announced earlier today a revision of cost for a long-term multi-entry visa, from £325 to £85, for Chinese visitors coming into effect in 2016; bringing significant benefits to the UK economy.
