The first event takes place on Saturday 14th November at Hever Castle in Kent and will challenge and motivate teams to work together for the glory of making it to the finish line as one. Taking place across 6km, each obstacle will challenge a team of recruits, however large or small, to be the best they can be.
Developed with the Royal Marines and endorsed by, national charity partner, the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund, many of the obstacles are designed to be exact replicas of the training obstacles faced at the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre. Teams will take on the course just like the Marines are trained to do, putting team skills to the test and working together to get to finish line as one.
With a chance to discover if they have what it takes to be a real Commando, each section of the wild, woodland course demands that each participant digs deep and works with their team to become a Commando Series finisher. On arrival ‘recruits’ will enter the event village resembling a military encampment where your team will change and ‘cam up’.
The course has not been designed to be too impossible or dangerous and less challenging variants on each obstacle course will sit alongside, but will still require teamwork and joint effort from every single participant.
