The launch of a charity initiative in association with Covenent House was the culmination of a series of events. Employees took a break from their busy schedule on 4 June to spend time coaching young residents in preparation for job interviews.
The initiative, chosen by staff, will become an annual event - alongside other opportunities to give back to the city that has made Grass Roots so welcome in New York.
The company held a private reception to celebrate together at Capital Grille, the guest of honour being Richard Bandell, Grass Roots Group CEO, who made a special visit from the UK. An intimate client event also took place at the New York EDITION hotel. The hotel included Grass Roots in its own opening celebrations as it launched its wonderful new property, cementing the relationship between Grass Roots and EDITION hotels, created by Marriott in association with Ian Schrager.
The Grass Roots office, located in midtown, has grown from three to 35 full time employees in this short time. They have operated over 1,250 events and handled some 20,000 attendees. In 2013 they celebrated inclusion in the Inc.1000 fastest growing companies, and in 2014 they won a Gold Stevie Award at the American Business Award for a multi city event for Swiss Re Insurance.
