IACC reports highest single year growth in membership globally

58 New Conference Venues Join, Raising Total Membership to 355 Worldwide

Following on from an 18-month restructure, the International Association of Conference Centres has recently reported its highest single year growth in membership globally, with 58 new members joining the only global professional association representing small to medium sized venues focused on meetings, training courses and conferences.

The new memberships have expanded the global reach of IACC, adding 6 new countries to the growing portfolio including Kenya, Ukraine, Hungary, Portugal, Switzerland and Italy. Mark Cooper, CEO, IACC, presenting the results of the 2014 Annual Members Report at the IACC-Americas 2015 Conference commented:

“We are delighted to report our highest single year growth in membership globally. We have welcomed 58 new members on board and what is more, 54 of these are newly certified IACC conference venues. We are delighted to report that a number of new members include the non-residential day conference venues.”

As the conference industry’s thought-leader on the meeting experience, IACC represents its members by defining and promoting the IACC Meeting Concept and providing learning opportunities.

Cooper concluded: “We are consistently striving to find new ways of delivering education and learning through events, training, certified learning, staff exchanges, trends and surveys. Our commitment to reaching and exceeding our goals remains as strong and focused as ever. Inspired by our track record, this year will see us aiming ever higher on behalf of our members.”

IACC is the only global professional association that represents small to medium sized venues focused on meetings, training courses and conferences. All members conform to a comprehensive global set of quality standards. The organisation serves its members by being the global thought-leader in the meetings industry and currently has 355 members in 21 countries in the Americas, Europe and Australasia.
