Michelin-starred chef joins award-winning caterer to create stunning meals for some of London’s most iconic venuesSome of London’s most iconic venues will soon be serving food from one of the capital’s hottest chefs with the announcement that Ollie Dabbous is to partner Ampersand Events to create food for show-stopping functions across the capital.
They have today formed a partnership to create menus that resonate with the fresh, clean flavours associated with Ollie’s eponymous restaurant - now to be served in quintessentially British venues. Additionally he will undertake a series of training internships for Ampersand chefs in his Dabbous kitchen to ensure his culinary style is embedded with the Ampersand brigade.
Ollie has already started creating the new recipes that are inspired by his Dabbous menu and will offer three options; creating an entirely bespoke Dabbous meal for a specific special event; serving a selection of up to 10 Dabbous canapés; or choosing from a prepared ‘Signature’ Dabbous menu comprising three canapés, starters, mains, and desserts.
By way of a taster, dishes already added to the new menus include a canapé of Gem lettuce, lemon balm & pickled rose petals; a starter of Burrata with tamarillo, basil & fennel pollen; a main course of Seven year-aged beef fillet with roast onion & warm Stilton buttermilk; and for dessert, Strained yoghurt with raspberries, pearl barley & lavender. Guests can also enjoy Dabbous sourdough bread and whipped salted butter, and his legendary after-dinner chocolates.
Jamie Cairns the Executive Chef at leading events caterer Ampersand Events and his leading team of chefs will prepare the menus under Ollie’s instruction and is already unveiling these menus to its growing list of iconic venues that include The Natural History Museum, The Science Museum, The Museum of London, The Cutty Sark, Kensington Palace, Somerset House, and ZSL London Zoo.
