Guidebook to help Sustainable Events Summit deliver a paperless event

Wayne Morris, General Manager of EMEA at Guidebook
Mobile event app building and publishing platform Guidebook today announces that it will be creating the mobile guide for the Sustainable Events Summit in July 2015, allowing the event to be entirely paperless, in-line with its environmental credentials.
The event, taking place at the QEII Conference Centre on 6th July 2015, is expected to attract around 200 delegates with a shared vision to support a community which inspires the continuous development of a global sustainable event industry. The use of the Guidebook platform at the Summit will assist the event in reaching its sustainability goals.

Rick Stainton, Managing Director of Smyle and Summit organiser, comments: “We are delighted to be partnering with Guidebook this year for the Summit.  Promoting our content through the use of an event app both prior to and on-site not only helps us to achieve our own sustainability goals, but also ensures that we continue subliminal education through best event practice throughout the process.  The Guidebook app will also allow interaction and engagement before and during the event between attendees and the content.”

Wayne Morris, General Manager of EMEA at Guidebook, adds: “We’re really pleased to be associated with the Sustainable Events Summit. Sustainability is built into the very foundations of Guidebook, with every member of our team having a real passion for environmental issues and our offices being entirely paperless.

“The benefits of event apps are widely discussed in the industry, but the focus is often feature-based. Too often the paper-saving quality is being overlooked, when in reality this is helping solve one of the biggest issues facing the industry generally.”
