Ashfield Meetings & Events retained by Astellas Europe

Ashfield Meetings & Events has announced that it has been retained as the sole event management supplier by Astellas EMEA Operations.
Ashfield Meetings & Events have provided event management support to Astellas Europe since 2003 – including close to 200 events in 2014. The contract extension will be delivered by a dedicated team (referred to as the Astellas Conference Team) that will provide full service event management and venue sourcing.

Ashfield Meetings & Events have also been appointed to act as a consultant to Astellas on the implementation of a new strategic meetings management programme that will deliver enhanced healthcare professional reporting capabilities. This will involve the integration of software systems and tools to capture data across their global network of affiliates.

Nicky Simpson (Associate Director, Congress & Events at Astellas Pharma Europe): commented: “The team at Ashfield have supported the Astellas account for over ten years now. I am delighted that the contract has been renewed. We are a growing company and the Ashfield team have grown with us because they are dedicated and responsive, committed and professional. Ashfield provide us with an unrivalled level of support not only at an operational delivery level but also with our strategic meetings management. They have helped us shape the way Astellas do business and how we have successfully adapted our working practices to meet new industry challenges.”

Commenting on the renewal, Nicola Burns (Global Managing Director, Ashfield Meetings & Events) said: “We are delighted to continue our long-standing, successful strategic partnership as the sole event management supplier to Astellas EMEA. With a dedicated team to manage their business we see ourselves as an extension of their internal team. We look forward to working closely with them as they continue their vision to become category leaders in their therapeutic areas.’’
