HBAA International Charter signs Austria Trend Hotels

Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn
The HBAA continues to grow the number of supporters of the HBAA International Charter, with the announcement of its latest signatory, Austria Trend Hotels. Austria Trend Hotels operates 29 properties in the 4-star category across Austria and Eastern Europe. The group is expanding and is looking to grow market share and capitalise on the meetings and events facilities available within the properties.

The signing comes in a key year for the HBAA, with new chairman Jacqui Kavanagh, of Trinity Events Solutions, revealing the association’s first International Forum at the recent Kick Off Conference. The event takes place at the 5* Huis ter Duin Hotel in Noordwijk on 27 and 28 March and provides the opportunity for International Charter signees to network with up to 100 bookers who have responsibility for overseas bookings within their agency.

Steve Ockerby, chair of International Projects at the HBAA said, “This is such an exciting time for the HBAA and we are delighted to be hosting our first International Forum. With even more tangible benefits for signees, there is no better time to become involved. We hope this will encourage more people to come forward and reap the rewards available from the association.”

Eva-Maria Wittmann, sales manager at Austria Trend Hotels, adds: “I am very happy and also proud that we got the chance to sign up to the HBAA International Charter. Unfortunately I will not be attending the International Forum this year but I am very much looking forward to another possibility to learn more about the HBAA International Charter.”

The International Charter fosters best practice between HBAA intermediary members and the international hotels and venues they work with. Signees commit to the standards of the Charter which protects and strengthens the unique relationship that exists between agents and their venue suppliers.
